Welcome to ISCMI2022

COVID-19 Annoucement [April 14, 2022]

Dear friends and esteemed colleagues,

At the outset, let me convey my advanced best wishes to all of you for a holy and blessed Easter. Trust you are all safe and keeping good health.

Thank you very much for your continued support and interest towards ISCMI, our annual flagship event. The same had undoubtedly played a pivotal role and notwithstanding all the upheavals over the past few years, we've had a great journey with you so far and hope to make it more exciting in the coming days.

Regarding 2022 9th ISCMI, many potential authors and participants have established contacts with us and enquired about our actual plan to hold the event - on-site or online.

As you know, the team IICCI is keen to revert to conventional face-to-face meetings at the earliest opportunity. A few months back with the world limping back to normalcy with Omicron wave subsiding and the overall surge in no. of active Covid cases witnessed exponential slow down, many nations had assumed that perhaps at last, the world was past the Omicron-driven third wave. Some were even busy dialing back restrictions. Unfortunately it was soon realized that those measures were premature and based on very unclear and deceptive signals.

Currently some parts of the world is grappling with onslaught of XE, a sub-variant of Omicron. Albeit accounting for a small fraction of total cases across the globe so far, according to many experts, XE is the most transmissible strain that coronavirus had presented before us so far and that contrary to early findings, evidence is also emerging that it may not be too innocuous either.
Very recently (9th April'22), Mr. Antonio Guterres, the Secretary General of United Nations observed that a new wave is currently sweeping across Europe. He also opined that with new variants emerging every 4 months on average, the next Covid wave isn't the question of "if" but of "when".

These are indeed, disturbing but beyond our control. Accordingly it is imperative for us to tread carefully, exercise a high degree of caution & remain alert.

At our recently held core committee meeting the members took stock of the situation and expressed serious reservations about the wisdom of ultimately holding ISCMI22 face-to-face. Although the final decision pertaining to the same was not arrived at, emphasis was placed on twin options - i) hybrid mode, enabling both on-site and online presentations and ii) full fledged online mode.
I do hope you understand our dilemma and that your inclinations for submission of manuscripts won't get affected, as in the last few years, since covid surfaced. Depending upon the movement of global Covid graph in the coming days, ultimate decision regarding the actual mode of organizing ISCMI 2022 will be arrived at. Once available, the same will be shared with all of you.

Stay safe and hope to meet many of you in person or online during 2022 9th ISCMI this year.

With my best personal regards to all,

Suash Deb

General Chair, ISCMI21

Welcome to the official website of the 2022 9th International Conference on Soft Computing & Machine Intelligence (ISCMI). The Conference will be held in Toronto, Canada during November 26-27, 2022. The main objective of ISCMI 2022 is to present the latest research and results of scientists related to Soft Computing & Machine Intelligence topics. This conference provides opportunities for the delegates to exchange new ideas face-to-face, to establish business or research relations as well as to find global partners for future collaborations. We hope that the conference results will lead to significant contributions to the knowledge in these up- to- date scientific fields.
ISCMI 2022 is organized by
India International Congress on Computational Intelligence(IICCI), and technically sponsored by the IEEE Toronto Section and IEEE Toronto Women in Engineering.
